My name is Charlotte and I’m an applied languages (Spanish – English) and journalism graduate. Right now I’m finishing my postgraduate in Specialized Translation.

I am a published print journalist and have written articles for, among others, De Standaard, Unicef, Stampmedia, MO* and Vertigo Magazine.

In 2016 I won the Unicef Young Journalist award and received the amazing opportunity to go to Niger. Afterwards I covered the stories of people I’ve met there (These will be posted shortly on this site. Just have to translate them in English).

Now, let’s get personal: in 2015 I moved in with two of my best friends. I’ve been living in the center of Antwerp (that’s in Belgium) ever since, except for a period of approximately four months when I went traveling in South America.

In my spare time I feed our fish (his name is Buba) play football (unless I’m injured, then I shout motivational encouragements from the side line) and meet up with friends and family. Obviously, I also write.

If you have any more questions or enquiries, don’t hesitate to send me an email at (just plain ‘charlottewrites’ was taken).
